Fred and August Duesenberg founded Duesenberg Motor Cars in 1913 and production continued until 1937. Unfortuneatey the brothers were not good businessmen and were forced to sell out to E. L. Cord in 1926, but Cord knew the importance of their name and carried it until the end. Cord also manufactured both Auburn and Cord automobiles.
